I am currently an Assistant Professor at Instituto de Física de São Carlos of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. From 2012 to 2017 I was an Associate Fellow at Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics), in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2012, I completed my Ph.D in Physics (Fields, Particles and Matter) at IRFU/SPP/CEA-Saclay (France).

My research focuses on the interface between three disciplines, Astronomy, Cosmology and Particle Physics. I am specially interested in topics such as:

1 – the search for dark matter signals and physics beyond the Standard Model;

2 – the investigation of the nature and variety of black hole particle accelerators through their gamma-ray emission, in particular the  supermassive black hole located in the centre of our own Galaxy;

3 – the study of the origin of cosmic-rays and their influence in Galactic and Cosmological evolution;

I am an associate member of the H.E.S.S. collaboration and member of the CTA consortium. Within H.E.S.S., I was Deputy Converner of the H.E.S.S. Astroparticle Working Group from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2017, I was Convener of the same group, and became a member of the H.E.S.S. Observation [Time Allocation] Committee and the H.E.S.S. Executive Board. Since 2017, I am coordinator of the Galactic Center Key Science Project of the CTA consortium.
